Chi Kung

Deepening into our internal energy flow through movement, breath, stillness and meditation using Elemental Chi Kung.

Chi Kung is an ancient Chinese form of movement that promotes the flow of Chi (vital energy) through the body and mind using exercises to mobilise the body and joints, breathing techniques, slow movement exercises, static postures, walking and meditation. Chi Kung movements are simple, often taking their inspiration from animals and nature. The movements follow energy channels in the body as in other therapies like acupuncture, shaitsu and yoga. Chi Kung Five Element theory uses earth, water, fire, metal and wood movements, is informed by Chinese Medicine and is also associated with Taoist and Buddhist philosophies and practices.
